Nicki Waterman – Fitness, health and
diet guru
Nicki is the co-presenter of GMTV’s hugely successful “Inch Loss Island” and has
a weekly column "Fit Squad" for The Sun.
Her personal trainer clients have included Robbie Williams, Mel C, The All Saints,
Denise Van Outen and Gail Porter.
Nicki says : "A great way to get fit is to start a 10,000 Step Club– buy
a pedometer and plot several walks around your neighbourhood, on a local naturetrail, up and down steps etc. We should average around 10,000 steps daily to stay
fit and keep extra weight off."
Fiona received an honours degree in Nutrition from Kings College London and a post
graduate diploma in Dietetics. Fiona spent 7 years working as a dietician for the
National Health Service and a further 10 years at Good Housekeeping magazine before
going freelance.
Fiona is now a regular contributor to a variety of national newspapers and has a
special interest in food allergy, children’s nutrition, functional foods, obesity
and women’s health and nutrition.
Fiona says : "Make menu planning a family affair – take five minutes to sit
down with the kids at the weekend and write a menu for the coming week. Getting
kids involved is a good way to teach them about healthy eating and choosing a balanced
diet."
